The Starting Line

So, we did it. We bought a house (eep!)

Not going to lie - didn't take this. screen shot off MLS FTW.

And I guess the next logical step these days is to start a blog about it? haha - no but really, we wanted to put all of our new homeowner excitement into one place where people could choose to be harassed by paint colors, disasters, and learning how to rewire an entire house of 60s era outlets.

So, what's with the name? Well, if you're reading this, you probably know Doug and I are triathletes. Doug is the stud tri guy, coach, and age grouper that collects a lot of hardware. He's also incredibly modest about it, so he's probably going to make me delete that entire sentence ;)

Kicking butt at REV3 Williamsburg!

I (Devon, hi! that's me!!) am a middle of the pack (on a good day) age grouper that has a really pretty bike. No, seriously - my bar tape is mint green and I adore it.

coming into T1 at Tri It 2013 - one of my few race photos where I don't look like I want to die ;)
On top of our day jobs, we own Integrity Multisport - a triathlon coaching company catering to athletes of all levels. We have Ironmen shooting for their PRs, first year triathletes figuring out the addiction of swim bike run, and everyone in between. Buying a house has changed our personal training schedules a little... but we're figuring it out. If anything, I've traded upper body lift days for wallpaper removal ;) And through the course of the last 3 weeks, we've realized fixing up a house and training for a race aren't all that different!

So bear with us - we aren't fancy. We've never done this before. We don't own pretty cameras. Yup - you're getting good ol' iPhone photography here, folks. Hopefully we'll upgrade from that down the line, but probably not since we now have a mortgage to pay and gels to buy ;) Come back for home updates, race recaps, training tips, and other tidbits we love (like food. we REALLY REALLY like food!).
